About
Wat Saket's annual temple fair brings candlelit processions, food stalls, traditional games and the wrapping of the Golden Mount chedi in red cloth. The event normally runs for roughly ten days around the Loy Krathong period, but the exact 2026 programme is still pending.
Highlights
- A candlelit climb to the Golden Mount chedi
- The ceremonial red-cloth wrapping of the hilltop stupa
- An old-style Bangkok temple fair with food, games and performance
Plan it well
- Do not book around the placeholder range until Wat Saket publishes the 2026 schedule.
- Go before sunset for the city view, then stay for the illuminated fair.
- Use MRT Sam Yot or a canal boat; parking and surrounding roads become congested.
